Getting back on track

Hey my peoples!

It has been forever. I am truly sorry to everyone…the avid reader, the new comer and the peruser. I took a short hiatus and came out of it a few kilos heavier than I thought I was.
Then again, when one tends to eat randomly with no thought to what they are eating and when they eat, weight gain is inevitable.Why am I sharing this? Well, because I’m being honest and I struggle with weight and what I perceive to be my standard of beauty. This standard however has greatly been influenced by the media but I have learnt to let some things go. For example given my genetic makeup and my lifestyle, I know I will probably never look like Zoe Saldana. (and she will never look like me..haha)

I am taking November as my “get back into some form of better health” month. Note I haven’t said loose weight, or drop x amount of kilos. Yes numbers mean something but there are many ways to skin a cat and chart ones progress…and between you and me, I do not like the weighing scale 🙂 That is besides the point though. I (once again) embark on a clean and healthy eating regime. I have done this many times before and I will keep on doing it. I have fallen off the bandwagon and got back on again. Truth be told, this time around I most probably will fall off the bandwagon again but I will most definitely get back on again. In spite of this up and down – which I honestly need to streamline – I aim to be consistent.

With Christmas a good 55 days away (50 if you start counting from December 20th) there is a lot of time to eat right, start training regularly again and generally stop being a lazy girl. I intend to keep this up until December 20th and I will keep you updated on my progress regularly.
